Living by the shore, I see people searching for perfect seashells which they collect then put in a jar never to look at again. In Aqua Magnae, my intention is the exact opposite. I seek small broken shells for their amazing shapely essence and reveal them at 20-30 times their size in large images that show every broken detail and imperfection. They transform into 2D sculpture as they become out of context to their size and environment. These small intricate nuances and details which we cannot see with the naked eye come alive in these proprietary ultra high resolution photographs of these amazing decayed sea structures.
