Industrial Romance is a collection of abstract contemporary urban landscapes built on the idea of transformation. They are created from deconstructing images of everyday encounters with subway door handles, ATM machines, fire hydrants, construction sites, broken door knobs, iron sidewalk grates, security fences, and many other mundane details of daily street life.

By building them back together, Tom creates colorful images with spatial illusions of motion, transparency and structure, much the way dreams construct impossible perspectives and wonderful interactions.
